Sandra Tappan Spalding M.S., NCC, CCMHC has been a Clinical Mental Health Counselor for 25 years in private practice. She is a Nationally Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, who is licensed in Vermont and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky.

She has been written up by Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the World' and Who's Who of American Women. She has also had her own radio program and her own newspaper column.

Sandra believes that all of us are shaped emotionally during our early years, and it is this molding that creates our individual defense mechanisms, which are early ways of avoiding emotional pain. These defenses originally are used to protect us but continue to stay with us and influence our present behavior. Without understanding this early shaping we carry the past into the present. Most of us grow up using our cognitive and intellectual capabilities primarily. Our shadow feelings in particular are not allowed to be openly expressed. So, anger, sadness and fear gets stored in our bodies and causes us internal distress and can lead to physical disease over time. Sandra has created a self-help interactive videotape called "Embrace the Real You". She helps you find where you are blocked and teaches you how to understand these blocks and release them in the privacy of your own home. Why not start your inner quest, to feel better through the use of these innovative stress release exercises and relaxation exercises. Act now and move toward less inner distress and learn how to get more inner peace!
